It can print at speeds of up to 16 ppm in black, or 4 ppm in color, and the time to first print for black is 14 seconds and 26 seconds for the first color print. The CLP-310 can also handle transparencies, envelopes, labels and card stock, as well as pre-printed and recycled papers. It cannot print on glossy paper. It has a manual duplex, rather than a built-in function. The CLP-310 is quieter than an inkjet printer, with an operating noise of less than 45 dBA. It can print at a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi, with default resolution set to 1,200 x 600 dpi. Average output of one cartridge of color toner prints 1,000 pages while one cartridge of black toner prints 1,500.
