Panasonic KX-FLM651

$279.00 Released November, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Prints fast, pages come out quickly. Fax is easy to use and reliable. Good range of customization with how the fax operates, and it's nice to have the speed dial setup as well.

The Cons:Does a maintenance routine every day at 1am, makes a bit of noise, no way to stop it. Prints end up with streaks from the rollers after heavy use.

Panasonic's KX-FLM651 is an entry-level all-in-one laser printer, scanner, copier and fax machine with caller ID and call waiting features. It has a lower print rate than Panasonic's other entry-level models, at 14 pages per minute, and print resolution is 600 x 600 dpi.

The tray capacity is 250 sheets, and there is a 20-page automatic document feeder to make scanning larger documents easier. The printer only has a single USB 2.0 connection and no LAN input and is thus meant to be connected to a single PC, making this ideal for a home business user. There is a telephone capability as well, and a navigation console on the front to manage faxes and print jobs. This printer is only compatible with Windows 98/Me/2000 and XP, not Vista or other 64-but operating systems. It includes Read Iris Pro software that converts digital images from scans to editable text documents.
