It is meant for heavy business or office use. The only difference between the X854E and the X852E is that the X854E has a printing rate of 55 pages per minute, the fastest in the X850 series. It has a 625MHz processor and 256MB of RAM, expandable up to 768MB, and can handle very large print jobs. Its maximum input capacity is 5100 pages, and it has built-in finishing options like stapling and hole punching. It has security features like SNMP v3, SecIP, 802.1x authorization and SSL. It is also supposed to be easy to use, with a large 8" touchscreen operator panel, and customizable printing options like custom job emailing, copying and previews of scans.
