Like Lexmark's other mid to high-range color laser printers, it can print on glossy paper and supports a wide array of media. It has built-in network functions as well as a duplex unit. It is designed for fast printing at high volumes, taking 11 seconds for the first print (black) or 13 seconds to first print (color). The C780DN prints at speeds up to 35 pages per minute (black) and 31 pages per minute (color). Its recommended monthly volume is 2,000 - 9,200 pages and its maximum monthly volume is 120,000 pages. The C780DN idles at 30 dBA and prints at 52 dBA. Unlike the newer, low-range models, it does not have a Quiet Mode or Eco-Mode, and is not Energy Star compliant.
