The Epson Stylus Photo RX595 is a mid-range inkjet-based photo-centric all-in-one machine with scan, copy and print functionality.  Print speeds are fast, ranging up to 38 pages per minute.  4x6" photo-printing speeds are very fast; print time is estimated at 11 seconds.

  The scanner has an optical scan resolution of 1200x2400 dpi, with a bit-depth of 48-bits.  The ability to scan directly to PDF, USB drive, and flash-memory card is also supported.  The copy feature allows for the automatic removal of backgrounds for text copying, as well as reduction and enlargement of between 25 and 400%.  Direct copying to CD and DVD is also supported.  PC-free photo printing is supported, using PictBridge-compatible USB devices and flash-memory cards.  The RX595 features on-printer image correction; the two main features are Auto Photo Correction, which automatically corrects the lighting in badly exposed photos, and Colour Fade Correction, which will enhance faded photos.  The machine comes equipped with a 2.5" LCD viewscreen to facilitate these options.  Printing utilizes a six-cartridge based system, with one black cartridge and individual colour cartridges.  High-capacity cartridges are also available.
