Epson Stylus NX215

$100.00 Released May, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:The included scanning software is well-designed and easy to use.

The Cons:Despite having four separate cartridges for each colour, having just one empty means you can't print anything until it's replaced. Replacing ink cartridges is a pain as they are quite thin and packed in tightly together. Photo printing quality isn't great and is noticeably worse when printing from SD card.

The Epson Stylus NX215 is a low-cost wireless all-in-one printer. Many of the hallmarks of the Stylus line of printers are present on the NX215. For example, the built-in card slots and the 1.5" LCD display, which allow you to print without a PC and still have a good idea of what the print will look like, are typical Stylus features.

Where to Buy

With the individual ink cartridges of the Stylus line, you only have to replace the ink color you need, as you will only run out of the color you need. Like many of Epson's all-in-one offerings, the Stylus NX215 includes software that allows you to scan and archive documents or pictures in the PDF and JPEG formats in one touch. Epson's emphasis on environmental stability is present on the entire Stylus line of all-in-one printers, and the NX215 offers manual two-sided printing, Energy Star qualification and RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) compliance.

Ink jet heads need to be cleaned regularly (once every few weeks), wasting ink.
