The Cons:Vendor locking in full force - requires you to buy paper and supplies directly from Canon in very small amounts. Cost per page is higher than competing models, about 50 cents a print. Scroll wheel is sometimes unresponsive when navigating menus.

Introduced in late August 2008, the Canon Selphy ES30 is a personal photo printer for individuals who desire to print their digital photographs. Featuring a 3" display for previewing, editing and selecting photos to print on the device itself, the ES30 accepts 15 different types of memory cards.

Users can now also include built in default and extra downloadable borders and clipart on their prints. With portability in mind, the Selphy ES30 was created to be small and compact, with the power converter built into the body of the printer - requiring users to only carry a cord for plugging it into the wall. An advanced version with a larger screen and an embedded flash drive for image storage is also available for $199.99.
