WiFi connectivity enables full remote controlling from virtually anywhere within a home internet network, and offers project multitasking via a 30-sheet automatic document feeder. Dual Color Gamut processing technology helps to preserve the full quality of images and word processing documents, which is especially helpful for printing high-resolution imagery. With this in mind, Canon has implemented "Full HD Movie Print" mode for high definition movie stills, with "Borderless Printing" mode for full 8.5x11" prints. Wireless control can be taken one step further with the assistance of PictBridge software, enabling users to send prompts and print content directly from iDevices and select Android devices. Computer-less printing is also available via external drive/card connectivity, with the MX420 supporting USB 2.0 connectivity as well as a wide variety of SD and Memory Stick cards. In addition, the printer offers selective webpage content printing through the EasyWebPrint EX service, helping to minimize excessive ink and paper consumption.
