Canon PIXMA MP620
$150.00
Released October, 2008
The Pros:Built-in scanner / copier. Highly networkable - perfect for the family that wants to share the printer. Wireless access lets you put the printer where you want.
The Cons:Proprietary ink tanks cost a fortune, with region settings and ink level DRM built in. Poor driver and software for OSX. Jack of all trades, master of none.
The Canon PIXMA MP620 is recognized as being an all-in-one printer that copies, scans, and prints document. Its Auto Scan Mode automatically detects the image type (e.g. JPG, DOC, etc.), crops the image, and saves it in the appropriate format.

Furthermore, the PIXMA MP620’s Auto Photo Fix removes ‘red eyes’, enhances facial details, corrects brightness/contrast, and automatically determines the proper level of saturation. In addition, upon inserting a photographic memory card, the printer will automatically direct the user to a photo menu so that he or she can immediately preview the images. The Canon PIXMA MP620 also uses an individual inktank system based on Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering. This, combined with the Canon ChromaLife100+ ink, allows for higher quality images and a more genuine representation of true color. Lastly, the MP620 is configured for wireless and Ethernet access so that it can be shared by several people in one home.

prints are sharp, but color is very poor and always has been: nothing is bright, very poor contrast. I rarely print photos, but am invariably disapointed
