The Pros:Includes a spare print head, no need to replace the printer if it gets clogged. Excellent details and clarity with photo prints compared to other budget inkjets from HP. Reasonably fast mono tone printing at 7 pages per minute (for an ink jet).

The Cons:Lacks auto duplex, a deal breaker for some, the more expensive iP4600 model have a couple more feature including auto duplex.

The Canon PIXMA iP3600 is an entry level photo printer that was released in 2008. It prints at an impressive 9600 x 2400 color dpi, which is twice the quality of the $40 more expensive HP Photosmart A536.

It is not very fast though, it takes 41 seconds to print just one photo lab-quality 4'" x 6'" borderless print (compare with 27 sec speed of HP Photosmart A536). It has some of the typical features consumer oriented photo printers have such as pictBridge support (users can print directly from their cameras without the necessity of a computer). There are two papers trays that store both plain and photo paper, so the printer is always ready to print.
