Brother MFC-9450CDN

$693.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Capable at printing quality black and white text and images very fast (20ppm). Automatic duplexer. Dual paper trays (250 & 50 page) and a 35-page document feeder - an additional 500 page tray is available sold separately.

The Cons:Slow colour quality and output speeds. Controls are not in a well laid out configuration. Colour printing is poor, and not worth getting with cheaper pure B&W high yield printers on the market.

The Brother MFC-9450CDN is an affordable network-ready color laser flatbed Multi-Function Center with duplex printing. It does color laser printing, copying, scanning and faxing (a portfolio of features that the earlier 2007 models didn't have).

It has a speed of 21 pages per minute, a resolution of 2400x600 dpi, diret printing with pictBridge enabled digitalcams, and usb 2.0 interface that allows for direct printing off usb flash drives which are features consistent with other Brother models in the MFC printer series. One feature that makes it stand out is its wi-fi printing, it also has duplex printing, an increasingly important feature that the 2 years older Brother MFC-9440CN lacked. Other features include a 33.6K bps high speed fax modem, a 35-page automatic document feeder and a flexible 300-sheet paper input capacity that consists of a 250-sheet adjustable letter/legal size paper tray and 50-sheet multi-purpose tray ideal for letterhead or other media. Anonymous: #brother_mfc_9450cdn This is the worst color printer I have ever had. Color calibration is very poor - colors do not print out correctly. Colors are always washed out. Jul 16, 11

Anonymous: very poor printer if you require colour, agree with anonymous that the colours are washed out and unrepresentative of what you see on your computer.
