The Pros:Compact design adds a lot of functionality in a small space. Scans and prints relatively quickly. Tech support for the lifetime of the product, including Mac support.
The Cons:Lacks duplexing, which is available in most multifunctions in this category.
The Brother MFC-7420 is an all in one laser center that does printing, faxing, copying and scanning. Similar to the Brother MFC-7220 that was released in the same year, it shoots out 20 pages per minute (newer models with the same price such as the Brother MFC-7340 shoots out 21 pages per minute).

It has 2400x600 dpi print quality which is the same as the more expensive MFC 9000 series. It has 35 page document feeder and a large 250 page capacity. It just has USB interface for input, but doesn't have ethernet, a feature which belongs to the more advanced printers.
